John Abbott is the Medical Systems Marketing Executive at Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group. John has an extensive background in Defence and joined Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group in 2012 after a 30 year career as an officer in the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME). He is now expanding Marshall’s presence in the global Medical Systems market, including meeting UK MOD’s current and future needs.
John’s Army Service included: Logistic Operations planning, running a major maintenance and repair organisation in Canada, REME Battalion Command and operational deployments to the Balkans, Kosovo, Kuwait and Iraq. He spent the last 5 years at UK MOD’s Defence Equipment & Support Organisation (DE&S), including as an IPT leader in Land Equipment delivering a major output improvement programme.
